A Grand Junction cat assistance group found out the hard way what a cat burglar is when someone broke into their facility and stole several items.

According to Crime Stoppers of Mesa County, on either Sunday afternoon (April 24) or early Monday morning (April 25) an unknown person(s) stole three rubber made style storage containers from Cats League and Assistance of the Western Slope (CLAWS) facility at 2214 Sanford Drive Unit A-5.

Inside the stolen tubs were a number of items including embroidered t-shirts, sweatshirts, hats and jewelry.

There is no surveillance photos or video, so Grand Junction Police are relying on the public's help to identify and find those involved in this theft.
