Burglars Try to Smoke Cremated Ashes Thinking They’re Drugs [VIDEO]

When Phillip McMullen went to visit friends for a few days, he never expected to have his house burglarized. Even more disturbing was he believes the crooks tried smoking his deceased wife's ashes thinking they were drugs.

McMullen told authorities he keeps his wife's ashes in a simple box on the headboard in the bedroom, rather than in a more traditional urn, and thinks that's why the burglars may have made the mistake. He also hoped the ashes left a bad taste in the burglar's mouth.

The crooks left the scattered ashes behind, but took several other items which made McMullen angry enough to want to fight, even though he doesn't like to.

All McMullen can do now is clean up the mess and hope the burglar is caught.
