Buckingham Palace Guard Remains Stoic After Embarrassing and Painful Fall [VIDEO]

During the changing of the Queen's Guard at Buckingham Palace, one of the guards slips and falls on a manhole cover. How he maintains the stoic look after the pain and embarrassment is incredible.

The guard used his left forearm to break the fall and it even looks like he may have hit his elbow, as well. As he gets back up and into the position you get a glimpse of the pain he's in but, in true Guard fashion, remains solidly at his post.

Onlookers, both surprised and shocked at the fall, also were surprised his fellow Guardsmen carried on as if nothing happened, executing their rules of discipline and code of conduct to the letter.

Many think the Guard are purely ceremonial and a great tourist attraction, but they are actually trained soldiers whose job is to protect the palace and other important places around the UK.
