Unfortunately, the Denver Broncos are not busy preparing for next week's Super Bowl. They are preparing for next season. Still, we will have a chance to see several of our Broncos in action during Sunday's Pro Bowl in Honolulu.

Of course, trying to keep up with the Pro Bowl rosters - who's in and who's out - seems an impossible task. Fifteen players who voted to the rosters won't be playing because they are in the Super Bowl. Countless others are out due to injury including quarterbacks Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers, and Broncos linebacker Von Miller and offensive tackle Ryan Clady.

The outcome of the game is meaningless, and the game itself it played more like back yard flag football than an actual NFL football game.Yet, for football diehards, it's the next to last NFL game we will enjoy until next fall. Besides, it's kind of  cool to see players from  your team competing side by side with players who have been opponents all season long.

Peyton  Manning will be the starting quarterback for the AFC, and cornerback Champ Bailey will be a defensive starter. Defensive End Elvis Dumervil was voted to the team as a reserve and will see some  action in today's game.

Offensively, aside from Manning, wide receiver  Demaryius Thomas will play  as replacement for New England's Wes Welker. Guard Zane Beadles will fill in for his injured  teammate Chris Kuper, who was invited as an alternate when the two starting guards, Logan Mankins of New England and Marshall Yanda of Baltimore could not play.

It's not exactly like watching the Broncos play, but watching SOME Broncos play is better than not watching any at all.
