Broncos’ Austin Excused for Family Emergency

The Associated Press reported on Tuesday that the Denver Broncos have excused defensive tackle Marvin Austin so that he could travel to North Carolina to be with his father, who was involved in a serious car accident.

According to the report, Austin’s father was ejected in a rollover accident Sunday evening in Selma. He and three passengers were hospitalized at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh.

At the time the report was released, it was unknown as to whether Austin would be back in Denver for Wednesday’s practice.
