The second suspect believed to have been involved in a Wednesday (May 25) shooting at a Clifton convenience store has been arrested.

Andrew Watson, age 29, was arrested Friday (May 27) afternoon by Mesa County Sheriff's Deputies at an apartment in the 3200 block of D-1/4 Road in Clifton.

As a precautionary measure, residents in the neighborhood were asked to evacuate until the suspect was in custody.

Watson is being charged with Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the 1st Degree and Assault in the 1st Degree. He is being held under a No Bond arrest warrant.

Previously released surveillance video and witnesses helped the Sheriff's Department identify and locate Watson and 22-year-old Tre Richardson as the two men who shot another man at the Corner Store at 3202 E Road early Wednesday morning.

Richardson, the man depicted in the surveillance photos, was arrested Wednesday evening. He is being charged with Accessory to Criminal Attempt to Commit Murder in the 1st Degree and Accessory to Assault in the 1st Degree. He is also on a No Bond hold.

No additional information has been released about the 57-year-old shooting victim.
