April 17th Snow Fall Photos From Around the Valley
Yesterday's somewhat uncommon snowfall in the Grand Valley prompted residents to fire up their cameras and capture images of an unexpected, but largely appreciated, mid-April snow shower.
For much of Western Colorado, Spring had already sprung, and the result was a fascinating contrast of snow and blooming flowers.
The rural areas of the valley also saw their allotment of snow, creating some inhospitable, soggy conditions.
Grand Valley residents had to put their barbeque and porch sitting plans on hold for an extra day.
Many residents have already had the lawn care crews out to the house to put down Spring fertilization, only to find their yards under several inches of snow.
Thoughts of Summer are on everyone's mind, with this slight intermission before warmer weather inevitably arrives in Western Colorado.
