It was Sunday morning, December 7, 1941 when Japanese forces attacked the US naval base at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Take time to remember and reflect on that day with stories from those who remember or survived the deadly attack.

The attack that Sunday morning and lasted about 2 hours. After the attack, 2,403 Americans were killed. Another 1,178 were wounded.

A total of eight battleships were damaged with five of those sinking. A memorial was erected over one of those ships, the USS Arizona, to serve as a reminder and to allow people to pay tribute to those who gave their lives in the attack.

In the words of President Franklin D. Roosevelt, '..December 7th 1941, a date which will live in infamy."  The following day (December 8) the US declared war on Japan which ultimately led the US into World War II.
