It’s that time of year again, as the public prepares to converge on the town of Palisade for the 45th Annual Palisade Peach Festival. The event begins this Thursday (August 15) and runs through Sunday (August 18).

Considered one of the original agricultural festivals in Colorado, the Palisade Peach Festival will have plenty of opportunities for great food, entertainment, contests, activities for kids, and scheduled tours to explore Palisade.

For anyone who’s planning to attend the Palisade Peach Festival this weekend – or if you’re wondering what to expect when you arrive at the festival – here’s the schedule of events:

THURSDAY, AUGUST 15

  • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Agri-tours, Guided Tours, and Winery Tours
  • 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Ice Cream Social & Street Dance at Town Plaza in Downtown Palisade
  • 7:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Heard It Through the Grapevine concert featuring Remus Tucker Band at the Grande River Vineyards (787 North Elberta Avenue)

FRIDAY, AUGUST 16

  • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Agri-tours, Guided Tours, and Winery Tours
  • 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. – Guided Historical Walking Tours
  • 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Peach Festival at Riverbend Park
  • 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Suncrest Orchard Alpacas & Fiberworks presents Fiber Expo at the Peach Festival at Riverbend Park
  • 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. – Peach Cruisine with Colorado Chefs at the Peach Cruisine Tent at Riverbend Park
  • 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Live entertainment on main stage at Riverbend Park with Strolling Scones (3:00 to 4:30 p.m.), Flashback (5:00 to 7:00 p.m.), and Stray Grass (7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
  • 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Feast in the Fields at Z’s Orchard, tickets for this event is $95 in advance

SATURDAY, AUGUST 17

  • 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – Lions Club Pancake Breakfast at Palisade Memorial Park. Tickets are $6 per person, children 6 years old and younger are free
  • 7:30 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. – Recipe Contest Check-in at Palisade Memorial Park Building, contest entry is free and winners announced at 12:00 noon
  • 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Mt. Garfield Bookit for Reading 8K Race at Palisade High School. This event is a benefit for Mount Garfield Middle School Library.
  • 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – Parade in Downtown Palisade
  • 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. – Just 4 Fun Car Show at Peach Bowl Park. Free entry to the public.
  • 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Library Book Sale
  • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Agri-tours, Guided Tours, and Winery Tours
  • 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Peach Festival at Riverbend Park
  • 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. – Suncrest Orchard Alpacas & Fiberworks presents Fiber Expo at the Peach Festival at Riverbend Park

  • 2:00 p.m. – Peach Eating Contest at Riverbend Park
  • 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Peach Plunge at Riverbend Park. This event is a benefit for Palisade High School’s Knowledge Bowl Team
  • 5:30 p.m. – Guns & Hoses Tug of War at Riverside Park
  • 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. – Feast in the Fields at High Country Orchards, tickets for this event is $95 in advance

SUNDAY, AUGUST 18

  • 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. – Blessing the Harvest at The Vineyard Church
  • 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. – Palisade Sunday Farmers Market in downtown Palisade
  • 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. – Palisade Agri-tours, Guided Tours, and Winery Tours
