Yet another April event in our backyard, it's the 10th Annual Palisade International Honeybee Festival. It's on April 14 at the Palisade Town Plaza. The purpose of this festival is to bring attention to the threatened honeybee population and the wide range of bee products. There's even a Spelling Bee and a whole lot of honey.

Colorado's fee free days for Nationals Parks begin on April 21. Colorado has plenty of National Parks to choose from and what's could be better than being surrounded by nature's beauty? That would be not having to pay for it.
