5 Reasons Why You Should Take Your Pooch Swimming at Lincoln Park ‘Dog Days’
"Dog Days" returns to the Lincoln Park pool this Sunday, September 8th, and we have a list of five reasons why it is imperative you take your pooch for a swim.
I take my dog, Fluffy, to "Dog Days" every year. For the record, Fluffy really sucks when it comes to swimming. Best dog in the world, but he refuses to get in the pool. Take note, Fluffy enjoys any chance to get in the mud or run into a bog of filthy pond water, but he simply refuses to get in the pool. In any event, I plan to take him again this year. Here's the list of reasons why you should follow suit.
1. Following a hot summer, your dog has earned a relaxing day in the pool.
2. It teaches your dog to socialize with other dogs.
3. You won't have to give your dog a bath afterwards, since it is nice, clean water.
4. Your dog could learn rescue diving techniques and could eventually save a life.
5. There is something very enjoyable about watching dogs having fun.
Dog Days is this Sunday, September 8th, from 10 a.m to 2 pm. The cost for "Dog Days" is $5 per dog, or up to four dogs (belonging to the same family) for $12.
