The baseball season is on the way and that means it is time for the annual JUCO national anthem tryouts.

There is a lot of outstanding talent in the Grand Valley, and this is when some of it gets discovered. Sure, there are the familiar few we can expect to be performing the national anthem at this year's events, but there always seems to be a few new ones we didn't know about.

If you or your group think you have the talent to perform the national anthem in front of thousands of fans at the Junior College World Series, you should try out.

This year, tryouts will take place on April 2 and April 9 starting at 7:00 pm at Canyon View Vineyard Church Chapel, located at 736 24 1/2 Road in Grand Junction. You don't need to sign up in advance and the tryouts are open to men, women, children, and groups.

In addition to JUCO, representatives from the Grand Junction Rockies and Colorado Mesa athletics will be on hand to glean national anthem performers for their events. So get practiced up and give it a shot. If you have questions, give Errol Snider a call at 970-260-1110.
