The nursing industry is expected to grow faster than the average occupation over the next seven years, and there's not a much better place for nurses than Colorado.

WalletHub did extensive research to discover the best and the worst states in the country for nursing. Taking into account such factors as monthly starting salary, average annual salary, number of health care facilities per capita, number of job openings and nurses per capita, and work environment factors such as  mandatory overtime restrictions, best nursing homes, number of hours worked, and commute time.

Based on these factors, Washington is the number one state in the country for nurses, followed by Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, and New Hampshire.. The worst states are Louisiana, Hawaii, Kentucky, West Virginia, New Jersey, and Mississippi.

The future of the nursing industry is looking bright, and the future for nurses in Colorado is extremely promising.
