A dad's work is never done it seems --even as we reach adulthood. Here's 10 things we made our dads do - even after we reach middle age!

Ever since I graduated from high school - over 30 years ago (but, who's counting) I have never lived close to my dad. It wasn't until I moved back to Colorado 12 years ago that we even lived in the same state - and he's still five hours away. So I have not had the luxury of using my dad to bail me out of some sticky situations around the house, although I have picked his brain on a number of occasions.

Perhaps you are one who has been fortunate enough to live near your dad.Something breaks around the house, you have a repair to do, or some build-it project. Who do you call? Dear ole' dad.

You're not alone. According to the Daily Mail, the average person relies on dad to do odd jobs around the house until about age 41. According to the survey, 70% of men still call on dad for help, while 75% of women still make the call.

The question is, if you're a dad, do you want your grown kids calling you and asking for help?

Here's the top 10 jobs we rely on dad the most for.

1) Anything involving power tools
2) Fixing the heat
3) Fixing the toilet
4) Fixing a leaky pipe
5) Building a wall
6) Fixing a faucet that drips
7) Changing a fuse
8) Building a patio
9) Installing a kitchen
10) Putting up a fenc

I once lived next door to my father-in-law and utilized him on many occasions - most often for automobile repair. I'm sure I saved myself thousands of dollars in repair costs - and it made him feel needed. I'm SURE that's what he was thinking.
