I have two dogs – a Golden Retriever named Shelby, and a Black Lab Mix named Frisco. Neither name (thankfully) makes the top 10 list of popular pet names.Apparently, there are a lot of Twilight fans who are dog and cat owners. Bella, the name of Kristen Stewart’s character in the Twilight films, was the most popular name for dogs and the second-most popular moniker for cats in 2012, according to a recent survey by a veterinary organization. The survey included the names of 2.5 million dogs and cats at Banfield Pet Hospital, a veterinary network in Portland, Oregon. The most popular cat name was Kitty. Are you kidding me? Here were the top ten most popular names for dogs and cats in 2012:
